The project was particularly challenging due to the tight programme and the need to maintain business operations throughout the works. The first floor was refurbished and handed back before the team moved onto the ground floor, allowing Welcome Break staff to continue occupying parts of the building while the refurbishment progressed.
Works included full strip out and remodelling of office spaces, installation of new partitions and glazed screens, mechanical and electrical upgrades, new VRF air conditioning systems, ventilation improvements, suspended ceilings, flooring, decoration, bespoke joinery, furniture installation, feature graphics and branding throughout. The refurbishment also included upgraded welfare facilities, meeting rooms, collaboration spaces, and modern open plan office areas designed to create a more contemporary and functional workplace.
Despite the logistical challenges of working within a live office environment, Cold Developments completed the project to programme, delivering a modern, refreshed workspace that enhances both employee wellbeing and operational efficiency for Welcome Break’s head office team
